The World's Largest Hummingbird.

Males do not have the black band between their white face and red topknot.
We have approximately 2 dozen that live in a family group in our oak trees. 
They are very territorial and live here year round.

They won't notice, will they?
Intruder intruder intruder!!!
(followed by lots of hummer screeching and the
troops coming to take a look)

Heh heh heh ..... he was actually chortling. 
This went on for about 10 minutes as he continued to suck up the yummy nectar.

He stopped back at the bird feeders and then took off uphill to check on the family.
