Silver Sunday: Family Tea Set

Welcome to another Silver Sunday over at Gypsy Fish Journal
Be sure to check back next week for another Silver Sunday, which will be
held on the second Sunday of each month going forward.

Not "true" silver, but a very nice pewter tea set nonetheless.
It belonged to my in-laws who were married during the Great Depression
and this was a nice substitution for a "real" silver tea set.

The tray is quite warped ....... I think it ended up in my
father-in-law's workshop after Ida passed.
what was he thinking?   I think it just gives it more
character and enhances the history of this set engraved with an
"F" for the family name.

  1. This is a lovely set. I love pewter. I just can't start collecting another thing!! So glad you got this set and the F is so pretty!

  2. What a wonderful family heirloom! Vintage items, passed down by loved ones or adopted by collectors make a home a little more special.

  3. Candy, your pewter is just gorgeous - love it!
