Blue Monday: Mother's Day Flowers

Join all of us over at Smiling Sally for another episode of her weekly party.

I found something for Blue Monday this week, that has been here since Mother's Day!
Where has my brain been ...... lovely flowers soon to be planted in the garden.  To keep
the Hydrangeas blue I will add aluminum sulfate to the soil this fall or if I
forget they will be pink when they flower next Spring.

And some other pretty blues already in the garden.

Cerinthe major purpurescens

Salvia

Derwentia perfoliata - Digger's Speedwell

Happy Blue Monday!

  11. Hello all you lovers of BLUE!

Happy Blue Monday to all of you and thanks for stopping by to see my blues. The rest of my Hydrangeas that are planted in the ground are just now budding up. Usually by now they are finishing up, but it has been so cool and rainy they are getting a very late start this year.

That rooster has appeared here on TLRT before in a post from last fall Fall Traditions

He's metal and VERY heavy. His tail rocks back and forth and has a large steel ball ..... just one....LOL that counter balances him. He was meant to be a garden ornament, but I've always kept him in the house.

The first Christmas we were in the house he was sitting on a table in the kithcen and a guest bumped his tail, sending him crashing to the floor. He gouged the new wood floor giving it the first "character" marks! A little wax and the flooring was on its way to having a history.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, I do appreciate it.
