This Week In My Garden

You know what they say about April Showers .......but more about those
showers coming up for Thursday's tablescape. Today I'll give you a peek
at some of the roses in my garden blooming this week.  Gray days are best for taking
pictures in the rose garden, but I'll take this early morning sunshine and
the gentle warmth on my face anytime in lieu of the best picture.

I'm joining everyone over at A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday.

  1. Absolutely beautiful roses! Thank you for sharing.

  2. Gorgeous roses! Brass Band is my favorite!!! Beautiful photos!

  3. What beautiful roses you have Candy! I was going to tell you which one was my favorite but the more I scrolled down, the longer my list of favorites became!

  4. I have tried roses so many times. I think they must be too labor intensive for me! Mine get diseases or bugs! The flowers either get eaten or the leaves end up looking like lace! Your photos are just gorgeous!! They should be in a magazine!!!!

  5. Spectacular! Not only are the pictures beautiful, but I'm impressed that you know the name of all of them!

  6. Your roses are gorgeous. Love all the pretty colors! Wonderful photos!

  7. Breath taking, thanks for sharing.

  8. Thanks to all of you for stopping by to smell the roses! And thank you for all your lovely comments too. :-)

Shirley and all other rose lovers! There are just a couple of things to do if you want to grow great roses ..... they really DO NOT take a lot of care or maintenance.

Deadhead your roses. It makes them bloom and bloom and bloom.

The answer to ALL and I mean ALL, EVERY, MULTIPLE issues with roses you may have had in the past can be solved by using Bayer ALL in one rose care. Not the two in one. The bottle is blue and it says ALL IN ONE. It needs to be applied at the base of the plant(mixed in water) three times a growing season. One bottle is about $15-$20 and each bottle does 16 roses.

No need to spray or fuss with your roses, this product does it all....diseases, bugs and it is the fertilizer too!

Take my word on this, you DO need to plant roses and you DO need to use the Bayer All In One.

Tune in for Tablescape Thursday to see some more of my roses.....I can't cut them fast enough!

And the aromas......oh my, it is like a flower shop in my garden this week.

(Yes, I have a LOT of roses. I buy 15 bottles of the Bayer 3 times a year!)

  9. LOL!

    That didn't take long....got an email re:Bayer.

NO they aren't paying me, the stuff is truly the miracle for all rose growers.

  10. I have seen a lot roses on the blog, but none compare to yours. They are all stunning. I would be hard pressed to pick one. I loved them all. Thanks for the suggestions. I am having problems with some of mine. None of mine are close to yours. What a sight your rose garden must be.

  11. It really takes someone special to grow roses! I gave most of mine away as I just could not master it! Yours are breathtaking! I love the variety you have they are gorgeous!

  12. I can almost smell those beautiful roses from here in Australia! Gorgeous!

    What stunning photography too!

    Best wishes,

  13. Gorgeous!

Here in PA we are in between the Spring flowers and our Summer flowers. Many people are planting pansies and will put other annuals in this weekend...Mother's Day is the "safe" date for planting.

  14. Absolutely stunning roses and photos.

  15. Awesome - can almost smell the fragrance. In PA
the roses and other perennials are starting to
    bloom. Can't wait.
Thank you for the Bayer suggestion I will try it.

  16. Your roses are beautiful! Mine here in Missouri are just starting to bud!

  17. Your roses are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them have a wonderful day. Denise@cottagesisters

  18. Love all the different varieties. The colors are so pretty. Happy Outdoor Wed.

  19. WOW the roses are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

  20. WOW!!! Gorgeous roses and amazing photo's. Thanks for sharing. :-)

  21. Thanks to all you rose lovers for stopping by!

I give most of the credit to our wonderful climate and to Bayer's. We had an exceptionally cold winter here in Northern California and the roses loved it! This is their 4th season and that has something to do with it too. They are strong and oh so pretty this year.

Thank you for your lovely comments.
