2010 has been a busy year here on The Little Round Table.
I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the most popular
posts from the past 12 months, ranked in order of most popular
from 1-10 in two categories: Tablescapes and posts covering other topics.

And in case you missed any of the tablescapes posted on The Little Round Table during the last twelve months, here they all are ! Pick a couple of personal favorites and let me know which ones they are in the comment section.

Winter Blues

The last Tablescape Thursday of 2010 is being held over at
Between Naps On The Porch, come join the fun.

Winter has arrived in Northern California with leaden skies and soggy rain filled days.  The Little Round Table was ready for a change from all the red and green of the past few weeks of holiday celebrations.  The last of the leaves have fallen from the trees, so this leaf covered vintage cloth in winter blues seemed most appropriate.

Silver chargers from Tuesday Morning for $1 each a couple years ago.
The Blue Gingham flatware set was an internet find at $11 w/free shipping.
Napkins from Home Goods, 4 for $3.50
Tumblers from Target last year, 4 for $7.99
Sapphire Blue goblets from Pier 1 for $12 last year
Chargers, flatware, tumblers, goblets and napkins = $34.49

Sapphire and White Post 86 Fiesta combined with bowls and plates from
Homer Laughlin's Diner line of dinnerware. Several of the Sapphire items were
not officially produced and are quite rare:

Crystalline glaze carafe was a limited edition charity
auction item about 10 years ago.

Thanks for stopping by to see what's on The Little Round Table
Happy New Year!

The suburbs of Chicago during one of the coldest winters on record.
Many guests did not make it to the event because of weather.
Two college juniors who thought they had the world by a string.
The flowers were brought to the church in hot boxes meant for food.
The reception was moved to the church library at the last minute
because it was dangerous at -13F to be going in and out and hoping
the cars would start again.  Yes, my hands were that chapped from
weeks of cold weather!  The traditional rice shower was done  inside
the church .... what a mess it was and just as slippery as the ice outside.

It has been a great 47 years.

Up Early With The Bird

Sights from my Christmas Kitchen, just me and The Bird

Foggy morning

If it were up to me, dessert would be served first.

Followed by a nice glass of red

The bird.

Setting the tables.

It has to be there on the table, doesn't it? Your holiday meal wouldn't be the same without it. That beautiful log of cranberry sauce just waiting to be sliced up and served next to the main dish.

Turns out the new Fiesta Jam Jar is the perfect way to disguise it.

Dinner is at 3:00 PM, please stop by for a plate of holiday goodies.
