Life Is Just A Bowl of Cherries

Join Tabletop Tuesday with Marty over at A Stroll Through Life
(Sue this one's for YOU!)

Today's tablescape is grounded with a vintage red, white and green
tablecloth for another foggy day here in California.  Sun trying to burn
off the fog isn't having a lot of success.  Details on the elements of this tablescape can be found at the end of this post.

Contemporary Black, Scarlet and White Fiesta Dinnerware
Striped green plates, flatware and napkins - Home Goods
Vintage Green Depression glasses
Polka Dot glasses - Target
Lantern - Pier 1
Vintage egg cups are Jadite
Carafe is Homer Laughlin's vintage Kenilworth
Napkin rings from a thrift store

Thanks for stopping by again today!

  1. Oh how wonderful, another fabulous tablescape. Love the mix of these dishes and accessories. The colors are so bright and cheery and your kitchen always invites me in to just stare and drool. Gorgeous as usual. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

  2. Wow great tablescape! Love the green and red. Where do you find all those great vintage tablecloths??

  3. Gorgeous, beautiful, elegant, unique!!! All good!!

  4. Beautiful, beautiful. I love the Kenilworth carafe. So sorry I missed that one you sent me before, but I will find one someday! Don't you just love how little things you find at a thrift store can really add a special touch? The napkin rings are great. I also like the way the heart bowls look with this setting. Another winner!

  5. LOVE those heart dishes Candy!!! Everything is so beautiful together and I also LOVE the way the jadeite blends in so brilliantly! I just posted an old video from the 1930s of the whole plant process of the Homer Laughlin factory...OMG, watching it was like being in heaven, I wanted to work there and make those dishes!!! Take a PEEK on my blog...
    Hugs to you,

  6. Really stunning, as always, Candy. LOVE the napkin rings!

  11. Another beautiful tablescape! I really appreciate that you share where everything came from at the end of the post too. That tablecloth is so much fun, and a really great place to start!
    Happy REDnesday!

  12. Your tablescape and kitchen are beyond comprehension!!!! WOW!!!

  13. As always, just beautiful.
I do believe you have the prettiest kitchen I have ever seen. :)

  14. So pretty! I love the colors! I don't know how you remember what you have-you are able to put together so many beautiful combinations!

  15. Your home is beautiful, and your tables cape with all of it's reds is just lovely. I think these shots qualify for Better Homes and Gardens.

  16. Thanks so much for all your lovely comments!

Jocelyn - at any given time there are probably 4,000 vintage tablecloths on eBay, more on Etsy and lots to be found in local thrifts and antique shops. Most of mine come from online, as the local brick and mortar places around here don't have much to offer.

Donna - Isn't that video great? One of several HLC unearthed a year or so ago.

Hope to see you all again for another tablescape to be posted this afternoon (Wed Jan 19th)

  17. Candy, I love that tablecloth! . . . and those dotty glasses! I'm ready to sit down and have an ice cream sundae in one of those beautiful green sundae glasses!

Question: When you do a tablescape, do you actually use it for a meal, or just for photos?

  18. I really love the crispness of this cloth, Candy. It brings a lot of cheer for this gray in-between time of year.

  19. I adore your tablescapes! And this one is no exception. I have those Target polka dotted glasses. My husband broke one right off the bat. So only have three now...

  20. Hi Ladies!

Yes Sue, we do have our meals on these tablecloths on The Little Round Table! After I do the photos I usually remove the two extra place settings as there are usually just the two of us.

Thanks for all your lovely comments everyone,
