Happy May Day

Some of my fellow "Dish Divas" are joining me today to celebrate the glories of Spring and the arrival of May Day 2011.  Please check for their posts:

The Tutorial for Tussie-Mussies was posted earlier this week.

Roses from my garden and a vintage tablecloth were the inspiration for today's tablescape. Details on the various elements at the end of today's post.

An alternative to the tussie-mussies is just a bowl of flowers as shown below.

  11. What lovely May Day posies! I have to tell you that I have been so inspired by your tablescapes. I was at a yard sale this weekend and on the table were some fiesta plates...I grabbed them and will be putting together a collection in mixed colors.

    Of course there is white Fiesta!

    White has been available since 1986 when Fiesta was reintroduced to the market place.
